The Hays Daily News has recorded World War II Vets experiences, and you can see and hear the vet tell his story.  At the present time, there are 25 vets listed as follows:  Alfred Rohr, Melvin Shaw, Bert Summers, Dale Dean, Glen Hutchison, Fred Johnson, Arris Johnson, Jack Heather, Jackie Logan, Kenneth Rigby, Raymond Youmans, Hugo Luhman, John Logsdon, Edwin Hofstetter, Carl Schlegel, Charles Roemer, Charles Patterson, Howard Reynolds, B. L. Shulz, Carl Stepp, Harold Woodford, Paul Hofstetter, John Streck, Ed Moore and James Peteete.  Some of these veterans are members of Russell Post 6240.
