     1st Sgt Robert E Rhodes is a 1989 Russell High School graduate and joined the Marine Corps upon high school graduation.  Robert has served the Marine Corps for 19 yrs and during that time he was a Drill Instructor for 4 years, supported missions such as Operation Desert Storm, Operation Enduring Freedom, and is currently supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom.  While in Iraq Robert is leading 175 marines and looking forward to a successful and safe mission. Robert is the son of our canteen manager Angie Schaard, husband to Sarah Broman Rhodes, and has 2 children Lizzie, and Bob Jr.  Robert has been a life member of our post since Desert Storm and we are very proud of him and glad to have him with our post.  We are praying for his safe return and upon his retirement he will reside in Russell, KS where his family already resides.  
     Sgt Christopher M Rhodes is a graduate of Salina South High School, has served with the Marine Corp 5 years, served a tour in Iraq and is currently getting ready for another tour.  He is a F18 mechanic.He is the nephew to 1st Sgt Robert Rhodes, grandson to our canteen manager Angie, and son of Carla Ehrlich.   He has been a life member of our post since 2006.  We’re proud to have him with our post and pray for a safe return.
