Russell W. Bennett – The post received the following e-mail from Art Bennett: “I’m
sorry to be the bearer of bad news. Russell “Jack” Bennett passed away on Jan. 21, 2009, at
St. Mary’s hospital in Long Beach CA. He had prostate cancer, lung and heart disease, and died from
heart failure. Please pass the word on to others.” Russell W. Bennett was a life
member of VFW Post 6240.
Roy Strecker – The post received the following e-mail from Delvin Strecker:
“My name is Delvin Strecker and I received a newsletter from your VFW Post addressed to my Uncle, Roy Strecker.
Roy passed away September 1, 2007 and so you may want to take him off of your mailing list. Roy
is buried in the Bethlehem Lutheran Cemetery at Sylvan Grove, Kansas.” Roy Strecker was a life member
